Regarding the allegation of human rights violation made by the United States against Bangladeshi elite force Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and seven of its officials, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, “We are enquiring into the sanction on which basis the country has imposed.”

“We are continuing to communicate with the department concerned of that country over the embargo on former and present RAB officials,” he said.

He made the comments while responding to a question from reporters at an event on Saturday (December 11).
