Bangladesh reported five more deaths from coronavirus in the last 24 hours, climbing the national toll to 28,022 across the country so far.

Besides, some 177 new cases were reported during the same period. With this, the total number of infections stood at 15,78,996 in the country.

A press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) revealed the development on Saturday (December 11).

Alongside, as many as 122 Covid-19 patients made recoveries in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recoveries to 15,43,862 the release said.
