No traders will be allowed of trading edible oil without proper receipt from Friday (March 11).

Directorate of National Consumers Right Protection (DNCRP) Director General (DG) AHM Safiquzzaman made the announcement while addressing a meeting with wholesale and retail traders on Tuesday (March 8).

He said the country has sufficient edible oil reserves to meet the demand till Ramadan. A group of dishonest traders is trying to hike the price making a fake crisis.

Irregularities of anyone including companies, distributors, wholesalers, or retailers in the marketing system, will not be accepted. Stern action to be taken if anyone tries to create artificial crisis, he added.
