Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman Professor Dr. Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam has said that many things like Walton are being exported from Bangladesh.
He was speaking as a special guest at the event “Investment Flash Mob: Networking Dinner” at the Hotel Intercontinental in Dubai Festival City on Wednesday (March 9th).
The BSEC chairman said, “Bangladesh is not only the world’s second largest exporter of readymade garments or RMG. Now many things like Walton products are being exported from Bangladesh. Walton has sponsored the today’s even. I thank them for that”.
He said Walton is supplying 70 per cent refrigerator compressor in Bangladesh.
Shibli Rubaiyat-ul-Islam said, “Once we used to import electronics and appliances. Now Bangladesh is manufacturing these products. Now the products of Korean giant Samsung are being made in Bangladesh. Samsung is making televisions, air conditioners, refrigerators, mobile phones and washing machines in Bangladesh”.
