Bangladesh women’s national football team captain thanks everyone concerned for warm welcome upon arrival in Dhaka
The Saff championship trophy belongs to the 180 million people of Bangladesh, Bangladesh women’s national football team captain Sabina Khatun has said.
The leader of the South Asian Football Federation Championship-winning Bangladesh team was speaking to reporters after they returned home amid great fanfare at 1:45pm on Wednesday.
The team on their arrival at Dhaka airport received a warm greeting from Sports Minister Md Zahid Ahsan Russel as well as Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) officials. Sabina thanked everyone concerned for the enthusiastic welcome and said the whole team was grateful for it.
The Saff championship trophy in their hands was the result of several years of hard work, she said, before applauding BFF President Kazi Salahuddin for his efforts.
