Japanese Ambassador Ito Naoki paid a farewell call on Foreign Minister Dr. A K Abdul Momen at foreign ministry here.

During the meeting, Momen appreciated Ambassador Naoki’s efforts and contributions to further strengthening Bangladesh-Japan bilateral relations, a foreign ministry press release said.

He also appreciated the envoy for his efforts in facilitating enhancement of bilateral trade between the two countries and Japanese investment in Bangladesh.

Both the sides also cordially exchanged views on various issues of mutual interest, including Japanese development assistance for the socio-economic advancement and human resources development in Bangladesh with Japanese manufacturing skills and work culture.

They also discussed on free and open Indo-Pacific and Rohingya repatriation, cooperation in different multilateral fora, including UN.
