Film director Kazi Hayat, who is undergoing treatment at Popular Hospital with COVID-19, has been shifted to the intensive care unit (ICU).
As health condition deteriorated, Kazi Hayat was shifted to the ICU, said Aklima Khanam Lima, an official of the hospital of Dhanmondi branch, on Monday morning.
Hayat’s son actor Kazi Maruf said lungs of his father are damaged.
“My father can speak and sense are normal,” Kazi Maruf said.
He sought doa from the countrymen for his father’s recovery.
Kazi Hayat and his wife were taking treatment at home after their sample reports came COVID-19 positive on March.
But Hayat was admitted to the hospital on March 16 following deterioration of his condition.
The couple took their first vaccine dose on March 2 at a hospital in city’s Maghbazar area.
