Accenture (NYSE: ACN) has acquired Core Compete, a cloud analytics services company headquartered in Durham, North Carolina, with additional offices in Europe and India. The financial terms of this acquisition have not been disclosed.

Core Compete provides cloud-based solutions that deliver artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning-infused business results. Cloud Analytics provides its services to a wide variety of client bases in the United States and the United Kingdom, with a particular focus on the supply chain, retail and financial services.

Founded in 2012, a team of more than 260 professionals from the core competition will join Accenter’s applied intelligence practice. Accenture hopes that this will help clients understand how cloud-based data and AI strategies help drive more business value and make it more effective.
