PEC exams being cancelled

The Primary Education Completion (PEC) examination of this year is not being held due to coronavirus (Covid-19) as a decision in principle has been taken over the cancellation of the examination.

Alamgir Mohammad Mansurul Alam, the Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), confirmed the news on Sunday (June 20) morning.

“Evaluation through the homework of PEC students will continue. But they will not be given an auto pass. The lesson will be given them in the light of annual syllabus even if it is possible to bring the students to classes after the normalcy of the current coronavirus situation. Evaluation will be ensured through this process,” Mansurul Alam said.
