All educators of government primary schools are not getting their fixed salary according to the 13th grade.

Sources said, software ‘iBas ++’ module system has been attached to disperse the salary-wage of 13th-grade government officials. However, it is learned that many teachers are not getting their monthly salary in various districts and upazilas.

Primary school teachers demanded that the salary grade of headmasters of primary school teachers should be 10th grade. Besides, assistant teachers’ should get a salary in 11th grade.In 2020, the government in February took a decision to upgrade the salary grade of the government primary schools’ assistant teachers with or without training to the 13th grade. But, still many primary school teachers are getting their salary according to the scale. As a result, extreme frustration is prevailing among the teachers.

Wishing anonymity, an assistant teacher said, teachers, are national builders. Unfortunately, all kinds of jokes are being taken place with teachers. One year has been passed but still, we are not getting a salary as per grade 13th. It’s really painful.

Primary assistant teacher association president Mahmudunnabi Dollar said the government announced the grade in early 2020. But, teachers are drawing their salary according to previous scale. It is a matter of great sorrow indeed.
