BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia has tested positive for coronavirus (Covid-19) although it was yet to confirm from her family and party.

Health ministry public relations officer Maidul Islam Prodhan confirmed the news on Sunday (April 11) noon.

Meanwhile, Prof Dr ABM Khurshid Alam, director general of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) told risingbd: “I noticed the news of Khaleda Zia’s infection with coronavirus in television scrolls but I have no information in this regard. I only know that Khaleda Zia was tested for coronavirus from icddr,b on the night of Saturday.”
